Tas Ports opening of the New Cruise Terminal & Fishing Wharf
Over $6.5 million has been invested in Strahan waterfront upgrades under the five-year Community Asset Program, which is jointly funded by TasPorts and the State Government.
TasPorts has invested an additional $1.5 million in architecturally designed and upgraded Cruise Terminal facilities and street scaping of the Strahan Wharf precinct.
A further contribution of $75,000 was made by the West Coast Council towards the street scaping of the Wharf and cruise precinct, which is currently scheduled to be completed in the coming months.
TasPorts has worked closely with the cruise terminal tenants World Heritage Cruises and RACT Destinations during the cruise terminal redevelopment.
This successful multi-million dollar upgrade – delivered in partnership with the State Government and West Coast Council – will boost local tourism and support business growth in Strahan.
