A man is behind bars following a string of car burglaries and shed break-ins across Launceston in recent months.
The 45-year-old from Kings Meadows was arrested yesterday afternoon and charged with 12 counts of burglary and 11 counts of stealing.
Launceston detectives say they've been extensively investigating the incidents across the region.
In an out-of-hours session at the Launceston Magistrates Court last night, the accused male was remanded in custody and will reappear before a Magistrate on Monday where he's expected to face additional charges.
Police are encouraging members of the public to provide any information they may have in relation to motor vehicle and shed burglaries, as the investigation is still continuing.
