Man pleads not guilty to Brettner murder

A 26-year-old Riverside man has pleaded not guilty to murdering Launceston man Jake Anderson-Brettner.

Jack Harrison Vincent Sadler allegedly murdered the 24-year-old on August 15.

25-year-old Gemma Elizabeth Clark also of Riverside, has previously pleaded not guilty to being an accessory after the fact of murder.

She will next appear in the Supreme Court in Launceston In October.

Sadler has been committed for trial to the Supreme Court in November.

The torso of Mr Brettner was found in bushland in Tasmania's north-east.

Tasmania Police have been searching for other human remains in Launceston's tip for more of Brettner's remains but none have been located.

The search has now been called off.

A funeral for Mr Brettner will be held tomorrow.
