police car sign

Devonport Police are looking for two young men off the back of reported stealing in the CBD.

Two males (believed to be youths) entered a King Street store yesterday afternoon, allegedly removing an amount of cash from the register before leaving the premises.

Officers believe the same pair entered another business in the Rooke Street Mall, reportedly removing an amount of cash from an office area.

Locals are being assured that the alleged crimes appear to be opportunistic and there was no violence involved in either incident.

Police are continuing their efforts to locate the pair and would like to hear from any witnesses or anyone with CCTV depicting two young males in the Devonport CBD, wearing dark hoodies and carrying backpacks.

One may have been wearing a face mask with flames on it.

Anyone with information can contact police on 131 444, or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
