Car crash leaves woman with critical injuries

Police are investigating the cause of crash which has left a woman in a critical condition in hospital.

Just before 10am on Saturday, police and emergency services were called to the single vehicle crash on Glenlusk Road at Collinsvale.

Police say a Subaru station wagon had left the road, slid down an embankment and collided with some trees. The driver, a woman in her 20's, was transported to the Royal Hobart Hospital with critical injuries.

Glenlusk Road was closed for 2 and a half hours while the scene was investigated and cleared.
