Improving staff expertise at both Elwick and Mowbray race tracks are among the recommendations from an independent review.
Both tracks saw cancelled meetings a few months ago, the lack of fitness of the Elwick surface convincing the Tasmanian government to order the investigation, helmed by senior industry figure in Victoria, Dale Monteith.
He has suggested TasRacing formulate yearly track plans and encourages seeking the ongoing input of Moonee Valley and Flemington track personnel.
TasRacing has specified that it already applied some of the recommendations of ahead of the Montieth review of Mowbray and Elwick race tracks.
CEO Paul Eriksson is committing to adopting the rest of them, while making special mention of a new track inspection process that ensures a third party is involved in checks at least two days prior to a meeting.
The state government sought the review after track problems saw meetings cancelled on safety grounds.
