A number of motorists and deer hunters are in hot water after a Tasmania Police operation in the Central Highlands township of Hamilton.
Transport safety officers also took part in the Sunday sting along with Parks and Wildlife rangers.
Along with 35 vehicle defect notices, two disqualified drivers were picked up along with two over the alcohol limit and three drug drivers.
Hunting offences included possessing loose ammunition and failing to properly affix a tag to a deer.
“This is one of a number of operations police have conducted in rural areas with other agencies," said Acting Inspector Phil Curtis from Bridgewater Police.
"These activities enable us to pool resources and to respond effectively to a range of offences committed within rural areas.”
