An oil spill has made for a busy day for police and emergency services in Hobart, but has now been cleared.
The oil spill occurred on the Southern Outlet about 2km before Mt Nelson, continuing to Macquarie Street, along the Brooker Highway to the Risdon Road area, through to Derwent Park Road, out to the Midland Highway, Pontville and to Mangalore.
Crashes were reported as a result of the spill, but there were no serious injuries.

Police say there may still be residual oil on the road, so drivers are urged to slow down, be alert and leave extra room between vehicles for the rest of Tuesday.
Authorities are looking to track down the vehicle responsible for the oil leaking.
