Electric Highway Tasmania has plans to install more electrics car chargers in Devonport and Burnie.
The company says there’s evidence to suggest the demand for chargers already installed in the Coast’s two cities is high, with electric car owners often having to wait for a charger to be free to plug in their cars.
Electric Highway Tasmania also has chargers in Sheffield, Smithton, Queenstown and Waratah, Derwent Bridge, St Helens, Swansea, Fingal, Oatlands, Ouse, Derby, Triabunna, Geeveston, Dover, Cygnet, Maydena, Kings Meadows, and Glenorchy, with another being set up at Tullah in coming months.
The company hopes to have chargers in most Tasmanian towns within five years, including Ulverstone, Wynyard, Longford and Huonville as the next priorities.
