A 35 year-old Bridgewater man has been charged with multiple traffic offences after he was found travelling at 133 kmh in a 100 kmh zone on the Brooker Highway at Claremont.
The learner driver, who was unaccompanied at the time, also returned a breath alcohol reading of 0.154 – three times over the legal limit.
Inspector Jim Semmens said the man has lost his licence for two years.

“Disappointingly, the man also had 4 children in the car at the time he was intercepted,” said Inspector Semmens.
“This is an example of poor driver behaviour that could very easily result in tragedy.”
