A Tasmania Police Constable accused of causing a deadly crash near Richmond last May will fight the charges.
On Tuesday morning Cassandra Joy Richardson pleaded not guilty to charges including two counts of cause death by negligent driving, drive without due care and attention and drive whilst disqualified.
Tasmania Police stood the 26-year-old constable down in the wake of the tragedy on Penna’s Brinktop Road which claimed the lives of Campania mother and son Teresa and Jim Brown.
Authorities later reduced the speed limit in the area to 80 kilometres an hour.
Lawyers told Magistrate Andrew McKee they expect to lead evidence from the crash investigator among other witnesses.
His Honour set the matter down for mention and bailed Richardson to reappear on April 21.
