The Bureau of Meteorology has released its seasonal outlook for winter – with parts of Tasmania likely to experience below-average rainfall.
Bureau Senior Meteorologist Angus Hines says the northern half of the state – including Launceston, Devonport and Burnie – has twice the normal chance of unusually low rain levels, which can also mean in increased risk of frost.
Tassie is also likely to see above average daytime and overnight temperatures throughout the coming months.
