Police are investigating an assault in Moonah last night which resulted in a man receiving serious injuries.
A 30-year-old man was rushed to the Royal Hobart Hospital with head injuries. He remains in a serious but stable condition.
He and the offender are believed to be known to one another.

A number of police resources including forensics, crime scene examiners and detectives from CIB attended the scene, with investigations ongiong in the idenfitication and location of the offender.
Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers. Information can be provided anonymously.
