Police have charged multiple people on the North-West Coast with driving offences over the long weekend.

Tasmania Police Inspector Adam Spencer says nine drink drivers were caught over the weekend at various locations, including Devonport, Burnie, Gowrie Park and Wynyard.

One of the people caught has now been charged with drink driving three times since Wednesday, and another was caught for the third time this year.

Six others were disqualified from driving or driving an unregistered vehicle, and two others were speeding at the time they were caught.

Police say they are pleased with the driver behaviour of those in popular tourist spots areas including Arthur River, Temma and Macquarie Heads, on tracks and beaches.
