Invitation: Gilded Memories and Lake Margaret Exhibition Opening

We invite you to join us for the opening of the Lake Margaret Story and Gilded Memories at The Galley Museum.

Embedded with stories of place and people, Gilded Memories is a charm necklace for Queenstown by Emma Bugg which took form at Penghana during The Unconformity 2023 festival. The necklace has been framed with Birdseye King Billy Pine, thanks to Wagner Framemakers and Tasmanian Special Timbers Sawmill, and will now be permanently displayed in Queenstown.

The Lake Margaret Story is an exhibition detailing the history of the Lake Margaret Power Station, from the inception of the Mount Lyell Mining & Railway Company through to the present day.

For catering purposes, please RSVP by sending your full name and contact details to galley@bigpond.net.au
