#Christmas #design #adventcalendar Day 10. Told you I’d be sharing my ultimate Christmas #upcycle #hack. #upcycle is taking an ordinary object, and making it better. Similar to a hack, but also making sure that you are recycling something that could’ve gone to landfill. Wr have all purchased those beautiful and expensive Christmas ornaments, but this year I wanted to make mine a little bit more special. Each year I’ll add one more as the children grow. Making these keepsakes priceless ❤️❤️ I found these wonderful plastic #baubles @kmartaus already filled with #glitter. They are great because they shatter proof, so the kids can’t hurt themselves. Make sure that after you carefully put your photo inside, you secure the top with a hot glue gun and make sure that the little ones can’t get to the glitter. It’s a choking hazard so please, only allow the children to touch them if they’re supervised. I’m so loving the way these little ornaments came out! And for the other handprint ones I made I’m letting my son decorate those for gifts 😊🎄 And to think I only paid $2 for all of these ornaments and some by just using salt and flour straight from @dollartree This recipe makes up so much dough, you can also store it for up to 5 days in an airtight container! You guys asked for it...so here it is! Here’s how I made my salt dough ornaments! There are tons of versions out there and I’m not saying mine is the BEST but it certainly works out great! You’ll see in the beginning I tried a different recipe that I wasn’t fully in love with but later on I shared my another one that worked out much better in my opinion! Please tag me or share with me your pictures of your ornaments! I would love to see them! I love how these came out and I had a little too much fun painting mine! 😜 1st Recipe - 1 cup of Flour 1 cup of Salt 1/2 cup of Water (or as much as you need) 2nd Recipe (cut in half) - 1/2 cup of Flour 1/4 cup of Salt 1/4 cup of Water (or as much as you need) ****BAKE AT 200° for 2 hours**** Let them cool off before painting!! POPSICLE STICK CHRISTMAS TREE ORNAMENTS🎄♥️ • I love a tree that’s filled with homemade ornaments. And these will be the perfect addition to ours!🎄 • What you’ll need: popsicle sticks, glue, pipe cleaners, pom poms, brown construction paper, twine, and stars. ⭐️ I used some wooden starts that I already had on hand from @hobbylobby but you could cut them out of construction paper or even make them out of pipe cleaners instead! • DIRECTIONS: 1️⃣ Cut a few centimeters off one of the sticks and use that one as the bottom horizontal piece. 2️⃣ Glue the popsicle sticks together in the shape of a triangle. 3️⃣ Glue the star to the top of the tree. 4️⃣ Decorate your tree using the pipe cleaners and pom poms. 5️⃣ Cut out a small rectangle from your brown construction paper and glue it to the bottom middle of the tree. 6️⃣ Create a loop with a piece of twine and glue it to the back top of the tree. 7️⃣ Let dry. • Happy Crafting! ♥️ • #christmascrafts #craftingwithkids #diyornaments #craftingwithtoddlers #toddlercrafts #montessori #montessoriathome #montessoritoddler #messytoddlers #busytoddler #messyplay #toddlerfun #sensorycrafts #oursensorykids #oursensorychristmas #craftymom #openendedplay #diymom #earlyyears #creativechildhood #everydayplayhacks #finemotorskills #invitationtocreate #christmascraftsforkids #christmascrafting #christmascraft #popsiclestickcrafts #preschoolcrafts #diychristmas #homemadechristmasornaments
