Hollywood actor Tom Hanks has been spotted out of Quarantine on the Gold Coast for the first time since returning to the Sunshine State earlier this month.
Hanks was spotted yesterday walking casually around the Pacific Fair Shopping Centre dressed in an iconic all-black Adidas tracksuit.
The 64-year-old actor who is currently back in Queensland for the filming of Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis biopic has been at the centre of some controversy in regards to how he was allowed to re-enter Qld with the state having some strict border measures in place.
Originally filming of Elvis was meant to start in March, however as we all remember Hanks contracted COVID-19 and filming had to shut down.
It is understood that Luhrmann and the Qld Government have spent time working on a COVIDSafe plan to allow filming to resume which news.com.au are reporting is "tipped to inject $100 million into the local economy".
Filming of the Elvis biopic is set to begin today at Village Roadshow Studios, Hanks will play Elvis Presley’s manager Colonel Tom Parker.
