It’s been roughly ten months since KPop Demon Hunters shattered streaming records and redefined what an animated musical could be. Since then, we have seen the film’s anthem, “Golden”, dominate the airwaves, eventually leading to a historic win for Best Original Song at the 2026 Academy Awards. But for fans who have been singing along in their living rooms, the experience is about to get a lot more physical.

During Wednesday’s Upfronts presentation in New York, Netflix officially announced a partnership with AEG Presents to launch an official live concert world tour. Inspired by the neon-soaked, demon-slaying world of the film, the tour aims to bring the “Golden Energy” of the fictional group HUNTR/X to stages across the globe.

What Exactly is a ‘Demon Hunter’ Concert?

If you are one of the 500 million people who have watched the film, you know that the stakes of a HUNTR/X concert are a bit higher than your average pop show. In the movie’s lore, the group maintains the Honmoon, a magical barrier protecting humanity, through the power of their music.

Netflix’s President of Advertising, Amy Reinhard, teased that the live production will be more than just a setlist. The goal is to create a “spectacular” immersive experience where the audience’s energy mimics the film’s “Honmoon love” to keep the demon realm at bay. While we aren’t expecting actual supernatural threats in the mosh pit, the promise of “golden energy” suggests a high-tech production involving the same vibrant, anime-inspired visuals that made the movie a critical darling.

The Big Question: Who is on the Mic?

The announcement has sparked immediate speculation regarding the lineup. While the characters Rumi, Mira, and Zoey are the faces of the franchise, the real-world vocal powerhouses behind them EJAE, Rei Ami, and Audrey Nuna, have become stars in their own right.

The trio’s performance at the 2026 Oscars was arguably the highlight of the night, proving they can command a massive stage without the help of animation. Netflix has remained tight-lipped on whether the original singing cast will lead the tour or if we might see a mix of holographic technology and live performers. Given the recent trend of virtual-to-physical music crossovers, either path would be a massive draw.

We Want More!

Beyond the tour, Netflix has already confirmed a sequel is in development, though it likely won’t hit our screens until 2029. This world tour serves as the perfect bridge to keep the fandom fed while the animators get back to work.

Details on specific cities, dates, and ticket prices are being held under lock and key for now, but a waitlist is already live. If the film’s “most-watched” status is any indication, you’ll want to have your browser refreshed the second those tickets drop.
