A man's undergone emergency surgery in the Royal Hobart Hospital after a stabbing in Launceston overnight. The 22 year old is listed as serious – he was found outside a home on Thompson's Lane at Newnham with a knife wound to the back around 10 to 10 last night. Detective Senior Sergeant Jonathan Higgins says they've charged a man who’ll front court today - but it's not clear what led to the incident.
