Convicted Rapist Remanded

A north west man who repeatedly raped his stepdaughter remains behind bars.

The 36 year old who can't be named for legal reasons was due for sentencing in the Burnie Supreme Court today, after he was found guilty of having a sexual relationship with the 14 year old girl between February and April last year. He's also been convicted of producing and possessing child pornography.

Justice David Porter adjourned the case to consider sentencing submissions.
