Police on Hobart’s eastern shore are hunting whoever’s responsible for multiple burglaries in the Hobart suburbs of Clarendon Vale and Rokeby in the past few weeks.

Education and community facilities have been targeted with mountain bikes, power tools and electrical goods vanishing.

Some of the bikes have already been recovered.

Bellerive detectives say they’re following lines of enquiry in relation to suspects and the rest of the loot, including an ACER laptop and Ozito, Makita and Milwaukee branded power tools.

“It is disappointing that education and community facilities are being targeted, particularly when they provide attendees with opportunities to learn new skills through specifically designed programs in building and maintaining bicycles, hydroponics and aquaculture; they are designed to bring the community together,” said Detective Sergeant Felicity Boyd.
